By 2030, UK industry and government have a goal of capturing 10% of the Global Space market, taking UK revenues to £40bn with 100,000 jobs created. The 2010 Space Innovation and Growth Strategy (IGS) developed the subsequent Space Growth Action Plan which identified 15 priority markets that rely on space and have significant growth potential. Each of these priority markets was thought to be able to deliver £1bn in revenue to the UK by 2030. Agricultural Technologies (Agri-Tech) was identified as one of these priority markets.
